About Seamus
Most economics tutors teach from a textbook. Seamus Gray taught himself from a trading floor.
After studying Finance and Economics at the University of Otago, Seamus worked as a money market broker in Wellington — reading markets, managing risk, and living the concepts your child is being assessed on. He didn't just study economics. He applied it.
In 2019 he completed his Masters of Teaching, then moved into the classroom at Otago Boys' School before relocating to Perth. Since then he's taught at Aquinas College and Trinity College — where his Year 12 economics class achieved some of the top results in the state in 2024.
Now he brings all of that — the real-world knowledge, the classroom craft, and a quick wit that makes a 90-minute session fly by — directly to your home.

A second testimonial — maybe about the games-based approach or how Seamus's real-world experience made economics feel relevant and interesting.
A student's own voice works well here — candid about what sessions feel like, or what changed for them after working with Seamus.
